The Institute for CSR sessions are designed to allow participants to progress from basic to more complex content. Full attendance is expected in order to earn the certificate from Johns Hopkins University. The dates have been set well in advance to accommodate registrants’ planning needs. We recognize that occasionally there are unavoidable circumstances, and with that in mind, the professional certificate will be awarded if a registrant has attended at least six of the eight required days. If the circumstances are such that a registrant cannot complete the series, and he/she has not missed more than 3 days total, he/she may have the option of making up the missed classes by attending the equivalent session offered the following year.
Preparation for the Institute for CSR requires significant advance preparation by staff and faculty. As such, registrants should contact us as soon as possible if cancellation or attendance deferral becomes necessary. To receive a full tuition refund, notice of cancellation must be received in writing at least 30 days in advance of the program start date for the year. Participants who cancel less than 30 days in advance will not receive a refund but may nominate an acceptable substitute or defer participation to next year. No partial refunds will be made.
Applicants who wish to join the Institute after that year’s classes have begun will be considered if only one of the two-day sessions has been held. In fairness to the other participants who completed the required work during the first session, participants joining late may be asked to complete an assignment. There will be an additional $500 fee per person for late registrations.
If more than one of the two-day sessions has already taken place, applicants will be asked to defer their participation until the next year.
